In one of my visits to lukenya I got to check this holiday home out, Isaac House. Isaac in Hebrews means to rejoice and for sure Pastor Mureithi and His wife do have a beautiful story to tell be hide this name. They are obviously a happy couple something you could tell by the way they addressed each other.

isaac2.jpgThis Rustic country Guest house has 7 bedrooms (all ensuite with 9 queen beds) as well as 4 ensuite annex bedrooms in a separate wing. They also have a neighboring 5-bedroom house (3 ensuite) on an adjacent property.  In total they manage  16 rooms, a perfect spot for company planning retreats, couples groups, extended family groups or investment clubs looking for a relaxed, informal atmosphere.

lukenya hills
There are two version of the meaning of LUKENYA one is there was a white settler that lived there and a local Kamba servant and one day when hiking they got to the highest point and the view was just breath taking. He sighed and said “look at kenya” the local had “Lukenya” and it’s been known like that ever since. Another version Erukenya”- It comes from the mist/smog that covers Ukambani and Kajiado plains. The Maasai people name the hills after the mist.

There are numerous attractions to keep one fully engaged and
entertained in the area;
* Lukenya Hills – enjoy a jog or nature walk on the hills and
experience the rich bio-diversity aforded by the hills. A walk in
the late afternoon will give a stunning view of the sunset.
* Swimming pool, morning aerobics and children’s playground
available next door at the Lukenya Getaway
* Quad Bike Safaris and Team Building Activities available at
Lukenya motor-cross
* Machakos People’s Park – Great for families as a lovely place
to picnic or simply enjoy the entertainment facilities offered there.

*Divine mercy Shrine; for those who wants to take sometime out and meditate on their faith overlooking gorgeous Machakos landscapes.
