Tour Itinerary

Upon arrival at the airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our team who will then take you to your hotel in Kigali for an overnight on half board basis.

Begin the day with breakfast before embarking on the two-and-a-half-hour journey to Akagera National Park. Akagera National Park is the largest protected wetland in central Africa and the last refuge for savannah-adapted species in Rwanda. Along its vast extent of low-lying mountains and savannah plains, the park encompasses rolling highlands woodlands, swamp-fringed lakes, and the Kagera River's wetlands. Crocodiles and hippos frolic in the park's watery basins, while predators prowl through its acacia groves and elephants, zebras, giraffes, and bison roam its grassy plains. The park is teeming with an abundance of uncommon species, in addition to a multitude of mammalian and avian species.
Overnight on full board basis

Game Drives
Explore the area in an open 4x4 vehicle with each vehicle able to accommodate a maximum of seven guests, allowing each individual an outside seat.

Boating Cruise
Magashi/the park offers boating in eight-seater swamp cruisers. This is an excellent way to view the water birds and many other aquatic animals seen around Lake Rwanyakazinga.
Overnight at the lodge on Full board basis.

Begin the day with breakfast and a drive to Volcanoes National Park, which is bordered by the Democratic Republic of the Congo in Rwanda and set high on the jungle-covered slopes of the volcanic Virunga Mountains. It is best known as a refuge for the region's rare mountain gorillas. Visitors throng to this location to experience close encounters with these fascinating creatures. Visitors can spend one hour with these incredible primates in their natural habitat thanks to regulated excursions through the reserve. Despite the fact that the gorillas are the primary attraction, visitors can also explore a network of scenic trekking trails, with the hike to the Crater Lake on Mount Bisoke being a particular highlight. Visit the intriguing Karisoke Research Centre and the tomb of the renowned Dian Fossey. Overnight: on Full board basis

After an early morning breakfast at the lodge, depart for Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park, which provides visitors with a one-of-a-kind opportunity to discover the 10 gorilla families that inhabit the park. Before the trek begins, guests can enjoy a cup of coffee and will be divided into eight groups based on their physical capacities. Each party is led by a guide and two scouts with emergency preparedness training. The quantity of time allocated for each trek varies depending on the location of the gorilla family. Some journeys may take as little as half an hour, while others may take the majority of a day.

Visit the Ellen DeGeneres Campus, whose primary purpose is to create more space for engaging the various stakeholders in conservation, such as scientists, tourists, conservation partners, students, and members of the local community surrounding Volcanoes National Park. Bringing these stakeholders together is one method for advancing the collective objective of protecting mountain gorillas and the planet in general.

Your stay is on Full board basis.

Start the day with breakfast and a journey to the south-western Rwandan Nyungwe Forest National Park, which is renowned for its exceptional biodiversity and large number of endemic species. The park consists of luxuriant tracts of rainforest atop bountiful mountain slopes. It is one of Africa's oldest forests and home to the only remaining population of chimpanzees in Rwanda, as well as over 1000 plant species, 85 additional mammal species, 43 reptile species, nearly 300 avian species, and over 1000 plant species. Visitors can appreciate spotting Colobus monkeys and chimpanzees hiding in the trees, hiking on a well-maintained network of trails traversing lush equatorial rainforest, and spotting a gorgeous array of colorful birdlife. Do not miss the thrilling Canopy Walk, which is unique in Africa and offers breathtaking vistas of the forest.
Overnight stay with Full board.

The Cyamudongo Forest Chimpanzee Trekking in Nyungwe Forest National Park provides visitors with a distinct chimpanzee experience. Visitors will follow a path through lush vegetation to a vantage point where they can observe chimpanzees engaging in their daily activities, such as waking up, feeding, and socializing in their natural habitat.
